Dr. Simbiat Oladiran-Adighije, PMHNP, PhD (Dr. Sim) has over 11 years of experience specializing in Adult ADHD, Anxiety disorders, Mood Disorders (Depressive disorders & Bipolar disorders) and comorbid mental disorders. Dr. Sim practices as a Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in both New York and New Jersey. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University with her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Nursing. She further received her MD and PhD degree in Public Health from The University of Science, Arts and Technology, Montserrat (Florida campus).
Dr. Sim believes in a personalized treatment plan for each patient that may include medication therapy and/or psychotherapy. Treatment approaches include Medication Management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Genetic Testing, Motivational Interviewing and other Psychotherapy treatments.
Dr. Sim is highly committed to evidence based practices and keeping up to date with new and emerging psychiatric treatment modalities. She does this by attending a yearly continuing education/training in Psychopharmacology at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. She believes in the possibilities of reaching one's highest potential and is highly committed to the well being of her patients physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Ginger Simor, MD is a Psychiatrist providing care to children, adolescents and adult residents of New York, (NJ) and Florida. Dr. Simor has a vast array of clinical interests; however, her specializations are adult psychiatry, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, bipolar disorders, ADHD and Substance Use Disorders/Addictions. Dr. Simor’s philosophy of care generally centers on a multi-disciplinary approach, utilizing psychopharmacology in combination with psychotherapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy and mindfulness. She believes in treating people with a personalized approach tailored to the individual’s unique situation and to help the individual achieve a greater sense of well-being.
Dr. Simor achieved her BA in Psychology at the University of Albany, NY and went on to earn her medical degree abroad at Semmelweis University of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary, before returning to Albany Medical Center to complete her residency in Psychiatry. Dr. Simor enjoys learning about different cultural backgrounds in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the individual. Aside from her career, Dr. Simor enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dogs; traveling, cooking, exercising and being creative with decor when she personalizes her spaces.
Christine Lisa, PMHNP, OCN, is a Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in NJ and NY. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with her Master of Science Degree in Nursing, and also has Board Certification in Oncology. Christine has been working with patients to treat Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and Mood Disorders, among other conditions. She has experience in a variety of settings including an Outpatient Partial Care Program, Intensive Outpatient Treatment, moderating psychiatric medication groups, oncology, and ICU.
Christine believes truly listening to an individual’s concerns and working together to find a solution are of utmost importance to improve the balance in one’s life. Treatment approaches are tailored on an individual basis and include psychopharmacology and psychotherapy techniques. Every person deserves the opportunity to be heard, and Christine provides an empathetic environment to assist in healing utilizing these approaches. Her enjoyments outside of work include spending time with her children, family, and pets, healthy eating, exercising, and watching movies/tv series.
Dr. Tara Thompson, DNP, PMHNP-BC is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing care to patients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Dr. Tara started her career as a therapist after earning a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology degree from Eastern University where she was trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy and systemic therapy. She later decided to change direction and pursue an education and career in nursing where she worked in cardiology and neurology. She eventually made the decision to return back to her “first love”, psychiatry, and obtained a Master of Science Degree in Nursing and later a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Drexel University. Dr. Tara has been working with patients across the life span in multiple settings including outpatient psychiatry where she treats individuals with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD and trauma related disorders. She also has experience in acute psychiatric inpatient care treating individuals in psychiatric crisis, and in consultation-liaison psychiatry focusing on the care of patients with comorbid psychiatric and general medical conditions.
Dr. Tara believes that people are multi-faceted and understanding their lives and experiences requires the ability to look at treatment from multiple perspectives including psychological, biological and developmental. She believes in nurturing the capacity for resilience and growth while diagnosing and treating mental health. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her “fur babies”. She loves to travel, watch horror movies, read fiction and Zumba!
Olga Secgin, MA, LAC is a Board Certified Licensed Associate Counselor. She graduated from Felician University with her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and is an inducted member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. She initially began to take an interest in the field of Mental Health when attending Montclair State University where she obtained her Bachelor’s in Psychology and is currently a and a Doctor of Psychology candidate (PsyD) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Felician University.
Olga has been providing therapy since 2015 to treat Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, PTSD and alternate health conditions. She has counseling experience across a variety of treatment settings, which includes private intensive in-home therapy for adult, children, adolescents & parents in outpatient setting. Olga’s therapeutic method and approach in treatment includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and she is eclectic as she understands that a single therapeutic approach may not be appropriate for every client. Olga is very empathetic and interested in helping individuals reach their health goals, which is one of the main reasons that she chose to become a mental health professional. Olga believes that therapy should be a safe and supportive environment for clients.
